Hi Guys
Just a quick... and way overdue... note to you all re the FANTASTIC gig you did for us here!
Ursula, you are without doubt the most chameleonic "voice" I have heard out of NZ... but I am SICK TO DEATH of people here telling me what a great front person you are! All I can say is, you are without peer!
Jason, a 4 tooth solo that was missed by too many and some of the best guitar heard on this island ever (if the word around town is anything to go by)...
Imagine if they had heard the "not the middle of the road" set <smile>).
Pins, what can I say, hey Mr Bassman... You kept it tight, let it run and developed a number fans of "the cool" that only 4 stringers ever get. The photos are the proof so brace yourself!
Matt, It is generally considered polite to wake up for the gig... unless you are Charlie Watts, or apparently Matt Baker! You may not look like the hardest working drummer in rockdom, but you sure as hell played like it.
I know you will all forgive me for not joining in the gig ... but it IS bad form to show up the resident drummer!! ahahahhahahahahah
Guys... you made a very special weekend VERY special and in that I do not just mean the gig itself but also the small amount of time I got to spend with you all in between.
The gig itself was OUTRAGEOUSLY good and you blew all present away. I cannot believe how well you read the crowd and the sets you put together accordingly!
You have been talked about the length and breadth of town since that night (and no I am not talking about the embarrassing incident with the duck, the turnip and the dozen tuskers which I feel should not be mentioned again
publicly) and I can assure you that your rep is excellent in Vanuatu.
I thank you all so much and I really hope that we can do it again sometime soon.
As you know when we were planning the weekend we looked at a number of artists ... and very nearly went with Dobbyn or Ferry. I can say without reservation that while either of these acts would no doubt have been great, you guys left them for dead! Also, it was really very cool to have a "home town" band play the gig as that created a real connection for Ju and I, both to friends and family unable to make it and also to where we come from and where it all began for us.
You were consumate pros and fantastic company and I cannot thank you enough.
Rest assured that as the president and founding member of "The Naked Gun Groupie Migration and Globetrotting Anthropological Experiment" I will continue to sing your praises from the rooftops (or, given MY voice, perhaps I will just hum them!).
Anytime you want to gig up here just let me know, I am sure that there will be no shortage of takers!
Kindest Regards to you all and to Kelly and Lianna and thanks again for jumping through so many hoops to make it happen for us.
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
Gray
P.S. Still want to hear the demos of your original material when you get to it as we discussed!

I'm not usually the type of person that shouts from the roof tops about stuff (because I get an attack of shyness) but on this occasion it's is really worth it. The music was probably the only part of our wedding that I was really keen to get right and Naked Gun ended up being one of best parts of our wedding! Everyone knew every word to every song, so luckily their range suited a lot of age groups. There were times when their were barely a handful of people sitting down because no one could resist the dance floor, we even had to move extra tables to enlarge the dancing area! I don't think our rave review of their performance will come as a surprise to the band because everyone at the wedding made it pretty clear, whooping after every song.
If you need to/want to use that on your website feel free because we were stoked.
Cheers

Hi Jason
Thanks for your services last Saturday night. I didn't manage to stay all night, but when I left the dance floor was packed so thanks to you and the band for a great night and great music!
Kind regards.
